Following Super Bowl LIX, President Donald Trump took to social media to comment on Taylor Swift being booed by some attendees. The game, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, was held on Sunday night in New Orleans.
Trump, who attended the Super Bowl with his daughter Ivanka, shared his thoughts on Truth Social, contrasting the cheers he received with the boos directed at Swift when she appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron. “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote.
Swift, who was at the game supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, seemed surprised by the negative reaction. She was seen with Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, and the Haim sisters in her suite. According to NBC News, the stadium was largely filled with Eagles fans, while The Associated Press suggested the boos were likely a reflection of anti-Chiefs sentiment.
This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized Swift. In the past, he has expressed his dislike for the pop star, especially after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Trump had previously said Swift would “probably pay a price” for supporting Harris.
Despite Trump’s comments, Swift appeared to take the boos in stride, seemingly laughing them off with Ice Spice.
